Put it to song.  I'm not very good at memorization myself. When I was a kid though I remember singing and not missing a beat.  I would also look for hints in words for answers.  ie: spelling and unique things that completed a puzzle of sorts. I probably spent more time figuring out these little tricks than it would have taken to train my brain how to remember.

Eat lobster, high proteins and the herb rosemary for good memory. Rest don't be flustered or tire your eyes. If you know kinds of questions or what you must memorize, count up the questions or the statements or lines, than divide your lines or statements or questions by how many days of until your test; OK example: let's say I have 100 questions/lines/statements and you have 20 days to the final. 100/20 = 5  This means that you need to memorize 5 questions/lines/statements each day. Another example: change the day like I have 30 days until the test 100/30 = 3.333 that means 10 days somewhere lol you memorized 3 questions/lines/statements but within the 30 days you do add maybe 4 to 5 not 3 questions/lines/statements to make up the 10 extra questions. Everyday after you memorize your daily limit and at a different time of the day just reread what you already memorized. This really helps the most. My daughter did this and won the constitutional amendments test award at her school because she got an 100%. You do this for you assignments too you put them in units where you can handle your work.

Are you wanting tips on how to take notes?  Or tips on how to remember for an exam?  If you want tips on how to take notes I would go to pinterest.com and search there.  I have found some great stuff.  As for how to take notes it is different for each person.

I am learning a new job.  I make quick not so neat notes at work and when I come home I am putting the notes (which I can use til I learn the job better) in to a different notebook.  They are organized and neat and easy to find what I need.

Every person is different in how they take notes, how they study, how the learn things.  What works for me probably would not work for you.  And vice versa.
