August's birthstone is peridot. The mineral olivine is a magnesium iron silicate with the formula₂SiO₄. Only person I know that had a birthday in August was MY Grandma. Beautiful time of the year for a birthday, beautiful birth stone.

My daughter's birthday was yesterday.  She was suppose to be born in July, but was three weeks late.  My birthday is in July.

My mom's birthday is in August and so is our wedding anniversary.
I had the PERIDOT stone set in a ring we bought in an estate sale.  It is my 35th Anniversary Ring/Mother's Ring.
The peridot stone is the focal point of the ring and has four diamonds in a graceful arch along the side.  A Diamond for each of our four children.

my cousin's daughter had a birthday Tuesday.
she turned 21.
my mom is the best to remember all the family birthdays.
she keeps track of the ages year after year.
when new family members are born into the family, she adds them on the calendar.
she has my dad send a card to each one.
he has a greeting card making program.
