Cat Scratching on pantry door

Our fat cat is scratching on the pantry door because her food is in there - we just got a new house and it is driving me crazy.  She is too old to de-claw and I heard that is brutal anyway.  Anyone with a similar problem that they have found a solution to stopping it?

Can't you move her food to another place? Maybe even rotate where it is.

That would drive me nuts.
