Yes, it is always amazing when events like this only happen so infrequently!

I wonder if it will be a rainy day down here in Florida.
There are a number of overcast days these days until hurricane season ends.

You are not supposed to look at it directly. They have special sunglasses and binoculars for this.

You can go blind. Will burn your retinas

Find out what you need first.

The national weather channel will be showing it all that day, and you can watch it safely that way.

It is exciting, but I wonder how many people will be tempted to look at the eclipse with their naked eye.  I'm sure some TV program will broadcast the eclipse.  That is how I will be watching.

I have been hearing about the eclipse on tv. Hope they will tell us how we can see it. I think this is very exciting.

I live just outside of Nashville, and the eclipse is expected to draw thousands.  Downtown Nashville is sold out of hotel rooms and many people are renting out their homes or bedrooms to cash in on the traffic.  As luck would have it,  I will be at a convention out of town on the day of the eclipse, but I'm sure it will be all over the news.  Please, make sure you have the facts about viewing it safely.  If you don't use the right glasses/equipment, you can damage your eyes beyond repair.

Somehow I still haven't made plans! I only recently learned that I would have work off on the day of the eclipse (and the days before and after the eclipse). I guess this means I could head up and watch it! Some of my friends are driving up and I could hitch a ride from them. I suppose I better start planning quickly if I want to have my day happen.

No particular plans, I have heard a lot about it on the news and I have some neighbors that are traveling to other parts of the country to see/experience a better glimp; guess I will just continue to listen to the news.
