I hate when surveys tell you it take you 5 minutes  for .10 cents to complete the survey and when you click on it and loads it then tells you it  is a 25 -30 minute survey.

That's one of the reasons I quit doing surveys...   states X amount of time then goes on forever, then reroutes you to another survey, and on & on...

Amen to that! It seems like this happens in virtually every survey I take; the initial report of time it will take to complete the survey is almost NEVER accurate.

I agree with you on this one. When it says 10  minutes, it should mean 10 minutes. I did this once and it took 23 minutes and it credited 30 cents

And I think you should get a penny for attempting it no matter what. Sometimes they don't credit you. I know I sound ridiculously cheap, but if I'm going to the trouble to attempt the survey, I'd like some kind of reward, even if it's just a penny. lol

Oh I know, I hate that. They tell you it will be 5min and then you do the first few question then they tell you it will be 25 to 30 minutes and they are not even paying well for a survey so long.

That happens a lot.   I sometimes wonder if I answered it to slow when it takes much longer than stated.
Have a wonderful day!

I, for  one, will never learn. This is often the case, yet I still use the posted time estimates as a factor in doing surveys.  I often try to get in a few survey attempts at home while waiting for dinner to cook or before a trip of family errands or some other 'scheduled' event.  Then I get a survey that doesn't DQ me and runs well beyond its posted time.  I then have to explain to my wife why I am tied up on the computer and cannot come to the kitchen table or cannot leave the house yet to go shopping or whatever.  I've had to abandon quite a few surveys that I was already pretty time invested in. Not good!

Yes it's crazy because I fly through the standard questions age, zip etc and before you know it they say you finished to fast.  I guess they think when you finish quickly you must be a robot.

Yep, it's the bait and switch technique, probably because the other survey has been filled.  However, if I look at the incentive offered and I think the survey is just too lengthy, I try to answer in such a way to get the disqualification cent at least.  I don't lie, but I sometimes just don't check all the products I've bought in the last month, for example.  I'm not going to do a 40 minute survey for 10 cents!!!

What I really hate is when you answer questions for 10-15 minutes and then it tells you that you didn't qualify for the survey.  I wasted all that time for nothing.

I have wondered about that too...wondered if it was me doing something wrong. It would be nice if they stuck to the amount of time it stated the survey would be. I definitely like the shorter surveys. Definitely cannot spend forty minutes on a survey for 10 cents.

I agree you can never trust the survey times I tookone this money for 20 cents and it said 5 minutes it took me 1/2hour! I have taken others that lasted almost an hour and the time was5-10 minutes. most of the time I don't qualify so it isn't an issue. However, when it does it makes me mad! :rainbow: :rose:
