Paper or Plastic?
« on: September 19, 2009, 11:29:18 am »
I don't use either bag because stores put one item each in plastic bags, and paper is hard to hold unless the bag has a handle. I use canvas bags I can stuff...and get $100 in groceries in one bag. Less trash and waste this way!

We should use reusable bags if it is possible, however if I do get a bag, I always find other uses for it, such as storing stuff in. or trash. Always reuse items, you can save the planet, not to mention money.

We use plastic bags. My husband uses them to carry his lunch in everyday.

how in the world do you haul $100 worth
of groceries in one bag without breaking your
arms/back?  :sad1:

i guess i'm thinking everyone has to walk up
stairs though (i live in an apartment building).
so maybe its not as grueling for you as it sounds!

we use plastic and then save them to re-use for
the bathroom trashcan, or if i run out of aluminum
foil so i can wrap up leftovers and stuff.
[ we all have a place in history. mine is in the clouds. ]

I use paper bags myself also, but I do not buy them.  It keeps everything from rolling around and out of the bags when I am driving home.  Paper bags are better for the environment.  The reusable bags are best though.   Who are the little people?  Do you mean alive or a life?  :)

I always get plastic because I use them for so much other stuff!  I use them mostly for garbage bags, but there's so much other stuff to do with them.  Why pay for garbage bags when yo uget them for free when you buy your groceries?

my parents refuse to use reusable bags.
they're so stubborn.
when I go to the store myself, I use a reusable bag.

i dont have a preference I just use what ever i get. I recycle the plastic ones thou. i either bring them to the local bread thrift store or bring them back to the store that i got them from and toss them in those recycle barrels they have
