Do you make casserole dinners from scratch? Tonight we made a potato bacon cheese casserole. It is on you tube but I used my own way of mixing it all together. it was good :)

I've thrown pasta, pizza or spaghetti sauce, and leftover pizza toppings (mushrooms, peppers, etc) with leftover batches of shredded cheese(s),  and any leftover chopped/shredded meats together before.  Quick & easy.

The casserole you made sounds good.  I miss food cooked at home but my sons work somewhere they can bring food home although it doesn't always taste the best to me.  Free food helps us pay our bills though and it is something to eat.

Yes, we have several go to casserole recipes.   I tend to make casseroles more in fall and winter than summer.   It's a great comfort food.

I make this chicken, salsa, cheese, corn tortilla bake & it is delicious.... that's about it for casseroles.
I don't find them easier or cheaper, but then I don't have a lot of experience making them.

I love the eggplant, and the large zucchini sliced like noodles or layers. Stuffed Manicotti and the large shell pasta are like artwork on the plate. As the kids grew-up, I fixed the mash potato with cheese one. I don't like to use my stove in the summertime. I decided on listening to the solar paneling door to door salesman. I bought the electric stove and I had to buy the hookups for the house, really thinking of the solar paneling. I have done the crock pot recipes but nothing like the oven baking.

I find a lot of great casseroles on Pinterest.  Keep adding  to me  recipes as if I don't have enough abut do like to try out new ones.  Hubby is not a real picky eater and is always willing to try something. I always know if he does not like it, because I have asked him to always tell me the truth about weather  he does or not and if he does not I will not make it again. He will say something like  well it is not one best you've made but it is ok, Well that tells me not to make it again and waste the time and money doing it.

I have made a few casseroles but would like to experiment and try out new recipes. I love homemade casseroles.

I love casseroles, but I'm like Michele2042, for some reason I usually only make them in fall and winter.  No idea why.

I don't do much cooking, but I've seen some casserole recipes that look really delicious. At least they are easy to prepare without a lot of fuss.

I don't make casserole dinners, but I may start.  I too would like to in the winter more so than summer.

I have been doing stuff in the crockpot, especially during the summer months so I do not have to heat up the kitchen.
