what does PII required after a survey

It's personal information like contact information and address. If you don't want to give it, just click "cancel" in the bottom right hand corner. You will get a disqualification bonus penny.

Thank you for this question and answer!  I, myself, have often wondered about this.  I would have never thought to "hover!"  I understood the gist of what it meant, but didn't really know what the letters stood for.

I dislike it when some surveys ask for PII at the beginning of the survey without asking any other questions. I think to myself you will probably DQ me then send me spam lol I especially think this if I am unfamiliar with the survey site.

I use a secondary email for surveys like that -- the email is my initials and last name, so for name, I change it to names that match the ititials, occasionally, I go in and clean out that email and delete all the crap I've gotten from these sites.  I never, ever use my real phone number if asked, which is probably not completely ethical to do, but I do NOT want to be called and there is no opt-out of receiving phone calls.  I rarely do surveys, but if I'm desparate, I try.

I think that's a really good idea. I took a 30 minute survey and they DQ'd me b/c I didn't opt to give them my mailing address and send my mail to them. Like what? that's kind of crazy.
