« on: July 20, 2017, 06:49:46 pm »
Remember, different colored swirls same flavor lollipops?  Have you ever ate all those very large lollipops without breaking or unfinished/throw-away it, how long did it take? Describe the best lollipop you ever had? No, I haven't finished a very large lollipop without breaking or got it dirty or even I had to share. Happy Lollipop Day! Have a gr8 day

My favorites are the Chupa Chups, I used to buy them at the local candy store when I was a kid.  Stores around me don't sell them anymore, I can only find them online now.  Unfortunately they don't seem to sell my favorite favor anymore :(

Charms lollipops used to be my favorite, but unfortunately like a number of my favorites treats growing up, the companies have changed or omitted ingredients. I remember these lollipops (I call them suckers) had a delicious tart flavor. They took out the citrus acid and now it taste like nothing but sugar and it hardly has any fruit flavor.

My favorite is the basic Tootsie Roll Pop in chocolate or cherry.

I'm not much of a lollypop eater.  The bank still gives them away to kids... so on a rare occasion when one has been sitting in the car for a while I'll suck on it... my husband uses pops and hard candies all the time as a deterrent to chewing tobacco.  The store I work in has "gourmet" lollypops.  They are huge.  Some are so pretty.  Look like marble.

I am fairly certain that it is impossible to actually finishing a LARGE lollipop without biting. At least, I do not have the courage to endure such a task.  I once licked a flavorful pop to the point where I could feel the awesomeness of the sweet bubble gum in side, but then my emotions got the best of me and I gave it to the bite.

I just found this little gem online though, "A group of engineering students from Purdue University reported that its licking machine, modeled after a human tongue, took an average of 364 licks to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop. Twenty of the group's volunteers assumed the licking challenge-unassisted by machinery-and averaged 252 licks each to the center."

So there you have it.
