What is your handshake style?
« on: July 12, 2017, 05:54:45 am »
Do you handshake or not? Is handshake just for business people or those in politics? Do normal everyday people use handshake as a greeting?

All the time, with a firm grip (but not uncomfortably aggressive.) My favorite friend to shake hands with had a stroke and lost all muscle control over his fingers, but I can see his pleasure when I take the time to engage his entire hand in the gesture.

I'm a quadriplegic, so I can't raise my hand to do this. However, it does mean a great deal when people reach out and shake my hand. I have full sensation so I really appreciate it when I am given a firm handshake!

I will occasionally shake hands if some one has been very helpful.

Handshakes wee normal when I grew up.  There is a sense of strength, courtesy, and agreement that add a level of civility to previous generations.

I use handshakes all the time in my every day life. You can tell a lot about the strength of one's character from the way they shake hands. As for my personal style of handshake, I use a very firm, steady grip.

unless it is cold and flu season I always shake hands with people I meet for the first time. I was taught you look people in the eye and give a strong firm hand shake. :rainbow: :rose: :peace:

I'm a hand shaker. I use a firm grip with a smile on my face.

It's a polite way to greet friends or meet new people.  :highfive:

It's a people connector!

I shake hands with a firm grip (not limp) But not a hard grip.  But with friends  most of the time it is a hug from them or me to them. I don't care what race, creed or color a person is, if they want to shake hands with me I do., But  I will admit I wash my hands a lot or use sanitizer.  I will always use sanitizer  when  I hold some ones baby which I do a lot  where I volunteer. The young and older women just hand them over so they can shop and I don't mind (rather love it) holding their babies

Almost always handshake, except for in a relaxed, peers-only setting for me
