No More Room in the Morgue
« on: July 10, 2017, 02:46:38 pm »
I know I shouldn't believe everything I read but I actually believe this one.  It's a story about how a morgue in Ohio is so full of bodies they don't have room for anymore.

The story is about people who have overdosed on Opioids.  More than 2000 deaths in Southwest Ohio in 2017 and half of them are heroin related.

This is the second time this year that they've run out of space and had to send some bodies to funeral homes.

What do you think about this?

It's an overwhelming thought to me.

Have a great day!

Id like to quote a line in Bob Dylans "Blowin in the wind"

How many deaths will it take till we know that too many people have died?

Certainly the drug epidemic is sad.Are we to ignore all other ways?EX 60 million died in WWll!

I dont think God created the human race with morgues in mind!

If the article you read was in fact true ... that is so  sad that we lose so many ppl to the opioid crisis in our country.  I know ppl that became addicted to pain pills due to their doctors just freely giving them refills long after they should have needed to take them.

It could be true because this drug situation is out of control plus others are passing from other causes.

I live in Ohio and I haven't heard this yet but it wouldn't surprise me. There has been an epidemic. It is ridiculous.

How sad if this is true. I've been hearing a lot of overdose stories on the news here in Georgia.

Why aren't they burying them faster? It's not like it's winter and the ground is frozen.

Hello there!

Wow that is very overwhelming, something definitely have to be done. On Sunday I was in bed all day and I was watching YouTube. What I was watching are shows about people addicted to opioids. There were plenty to watch to fill my lazy sick day. Heroin is definitely a killer and people are getting hooked everyday. Perhaps they should build more suboxone and methadone clinics to better serve addicts. I hope they all get help before it is too late.

How sad.

The report I read says:
Ohio Coroner Runs Out Of Room For Bodies Due To Spike In Opioid Deaths
May 23, 2017 11:18 AM
..... the Montgomery County, Ohio office had 13 bodies yesterday, and 12 of them were overdoses.  This was  the second time this year, a coroner’s office in Ohio has run out of space for dead bodies due to the opioid epidemic.
