My son grew up on a farm/ranch. He swore  he could fix just about anything as long as he had duct tape and bailing wire. For those that don't know what bailing wire is, it is what they used to bail hay with until they started using twine. It seemed like he could. He would break down in the field and limp  a tractor and what other equipment home using  them.

Does applying duct tape to a wart really work?

Yes, applying duct tape to a wart really does work.  I've used it on plantar's warts on feet several times.  I just put a little piece of duct tape over the wart every night.  I wore it all day, every day until it was gone.

Wow .. that's pretty cool .. who would have thought that duct tape can be used in  so many ways.

I've found duct tape to be great for crafts more than actual repairs. Maybe I used cheap brands of it but I found it may hold something fine at first but dries out and breaks down pretty fast.

What a  great question.   My grandfather used duct tape for everything, probably on warts too.

I've heard of duct tape for warts but have never tried it.  I've had a wart on the side of my knee for a few years now.  I bought some OTC stuff and it came off but grew right back; same thing happened the 2nd time I did it.  I just gave up but I'm kinda tempted to try the duck tape after reading what surveypro2016 said.

I tried Compound W on the back of my hand and got the same result you did, but Duct Tape worked and it cost a lot less.

I had a leak in one of the hoses that runs from my filter to the pool and used duct tape to fix it.
