This is not an exaggeration: I can type an average of 150 WPM. I usually say 120 WPM on my resumes for work applications, though, given as I doubt people would believe the 150 number, and because for something like work I am going to be thinking and typing more slowly than my maximum. But I have tested myself many times on various tests, and do consistently get up into that range with high accuracy.

I haven't been timed but I could type fast back in the day when I was a secretary.

I used to type very fast. I learned the right way, on the typewriter. I am also quick and accurate on the number pad, worked for an insurance company.

I am retired, and have nothing to prove, so I type at a good speed, but don't worry about it any more.

My 21 year old grand-daughter taught herself on her cellphone, and she goes so fast with one finger.  Kinda funny.

Do they still teach "typing" in school? I doubt it, unless part of a biz course.

I believe there are apps online that will test your typing speed and let you know what it is.

I type pretty fast, I haven't measured in a while but I think it was over 100wpm. They taught us typing courses in school and I always finished a few days ahead of the rest of the class and would sit and talk to the teacher or read a book.

I was not very fast at all in typing class but I have gotten faster since we got a computer many years ago.  Then, I worked as a customer advocate at a major medical insurance company for 3 years and got pretty fast there.  But, no way can I do 200 wpm.
