Photobucket
« on: June 28, 2017, 03:14:21 pm »
Just learned today from a friend who was having trouble that Photobucket has changed their policy

Some people have their photos being held hostage and are unable to get into their accounts to get their photos, that Photobucket is charging people $400 for a package called Plus 50 where they can once again post their pics on 3rd party sites

Some people are having this problem while others are not, so not sure if they are using excessive amounts of storage or what.

Anyone know anything more about this?

This is the first I've ever heard of it. I have been using photobucket for years without any problems. I wouldn't know why they're doing that.

I have never used photobucket. However, my niece does and I have not heard her say anything negative about it.

There was always a small amount of storage. I used it years ago. Hit the storage quote early on and stopped.

I haven't heard anything about it. I think I used them years and years ago.

I haven't used photobucket for years either.  One time I used them to store things... at the same time I think kodak may have had a site running as well as cannon so I'd used several sites... although not commited to any particular service.  I started just saving everything on a hard drive.  Computer crashed and I lost all the snapshots of my youngest daughter along with her brother and sister.  Have been meaning to put things on a thumb drive...just never remember to.

I'm glad that I never used their site to store my pics ... I usually have any important pics on a thumb drive for safe keeping

Your friend need to find away to get some justice & leave that site forever! Scammers is what I smell in the air!

I do have problems with Photobucket. I wanted to delete some photos there that I no longer need, but it wouldn't allow me. The site is frustrating to use as it lags a lot. Luckily I don't store a lot of images there. One thing for sure I will no longer save images there nor will I use their services.

It's not just charging $400. They're charging for a subscription plan of $39.99 a month or to get it cheaper it's $400 a year. They'll probably end up changing it because they did it without notice and it made so many people mad

I haven't logged into Photobucket for a long long time.  I forgot about it until this thread showed up here in Fusion Cash.
I went over there to delete photos.....ugh!  popups continually popped up as I did it.
