Feeling down
« on: May 24, 2017, 02:29:11 pm »
Why does it feel like right when you are getting your head above water, you sink back down again. I have been struggle to make ends meet and as soon as I get comfortable and I am managing everything, they raise the fees on one of my bills. Now I have to come up with an extra $250 a month. I could barely manage before. I really feel like giving up but I know that I can't. I am just tired of always trying to think of a way to get by. It is stressful living that way.

Do not give them a single cent. They do not deserve your business!

Curious what bill would raise fees by $250.  Do you have anything you can eliminate?  Cable maybe?  I turned mine off a few years ago.  I have an antenna.  And watch DVDs.

I hate when people talk of a budget for this or that. What if your budget is zero for that or anything.Think of ways to make extra money from driving for uber to giving blood, selling things a garage sale or ebay. Think of ways you waste money.I myself waste money on starbucks so i only get once a week .Love fusioncash yes but try other sites like this one, everyone probably does swagbucks.

I'm also curious to know what bill could raise its price that much! If it's your cable/internet/cell phone provider, please call them and talk to them! Sometimes it's just a mistake, but other times they are just trying to take advantage of you.

I have to agree, that sounds like a lot of money that was raised.  I would call them, it might be a mistake.

Ouch - I hope that's not your rent that went up - that is a big hike in price no matter what the bill is.  I know how you feel... just when you start to feel like your budget is safe... something changes that.  I'm amazed at how much people spend and how often... I mean I haven't gone on a vacation in 7+ years.  Used to go on little weekend getaways... even those stopped... now it feels like it was so lavish.

Sorry to hear of the struggle you are experiencing.  Never give up!  Keep looking for different ways you can cut corners.  Hang in there.

I understand totally...seems like my hubby works overtime, we get caught up...something breaks down, or bills go up..it's so hard to stay afloat these days.

An extra $250 is huge when you are struggling to begin with.  When my mom was in assisted living, they went up on her rent every year.  It was hard to imagine some of those old people being able to come up with the funds. Keep positive!  You will find a way.  Are you familiar with EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique)?  It provides self help for transforming your limiting beliefs about money and other emotional issues. It's free, easy to learn and it works!

WOW that is a huge increase.  Hang in there I will certainly hope and pray that something great will happen for you financially.  Believe me I have been there and so I understand how discouraging it is but you sound like a fighter so again Hang in there.

I feel like that a lot. Once I think that i have it all under control, something comes out of the blue  and throws a monkey wrench in and you are back where you started from, in a big endless hole. I pray about it, let God take over and leave it in his hands, I pray for him to take the stress away, and he does, stress can be a killer, not ready to leave this world or my daughter. So my thing is, put it in God's hand, tell him how you feel, even though he already knows, he still wants to hear from you, just go into a quiet place and talk to him, spend that quiet time with him, he will always take care of you and give you your hearts desire. Never let stress over power you. God Bless.  :)
