Home clean up and organize projects
« on: May 24, 2017, 04:24:50 am »
Have you started any home projects. I am trying to get my house  a little better organized.
Too many piles of things I can get rid of. So I started 2 days ago. It will be a slow
process, but it will get done.

Good idea, spring cleaning, but I don't have much to clean up and organize, I try to make things or keep things organized every day, so I don't have to go thru that.

Our home if fairly clean and organized.  I owe that to my OCD husband.  He's great at the house stuff.  I on the other hand am not home as much and when I am I'm catching up on other things.  So thankful for having a husband that likes to keep things tidy.  There is one project I have to complete...a shadow box.  It's currently laying in pieces behind a couch. Out of site; out of mind.

I wish! I have so many items I want to get rid of but most of them are collectibles and antiques. I won't give them away but because of 2008, the bottom fell out of everything and prices have not come back to normal, so I keep holding onto them and hoping. :(

As for organizing, I've done that quite a few times but could never find anything after that. I'm one of those people that if things are neat and tidy, I can't find anything and when things are a mess, I know exactly where everything is and I can find the item in an instant.  ;)

We are trying to buy a new house which is just being built now, haven't gotten final credit approval.  We still have piles of stuff from my mom who passed away in 2010 and my deceased husband from 2013.  Not to mention piles of stuff from my two grown sons who live here and myself.  If and when we get the new house we are only moving necessities and then we are going through the remaining stuff until we can sell current house.  I feel like I live in an episode of hoarders seriously.

This week I had planned to put away my winter clothes and bring out my summer clothes but it wasn't that warm so I'll wait.  I need to clean out my closets and have a yard sale.

I was planning replacing the roof but I think there is more to do underneath the roof to be done for and that means extra money. So I am putting things on hold for the time being. This house is so old it is time to be looking for a new home. But I like my neighborhood.

We just replaced floors so it was easy just to clean and get rid of things once everything was pulled out before it all had to be put back.

We also had a community clean up about a month ago where they did a free pickup of junk that can't go in normal trash. It got rid of a lot of stuff that was in the house and yard
