That's what I love about music.  It has the ability to plunge you back into the time and space and moment when you first heard it.  Almost all the 1960's oldies send me back to high school feelings. I must have listened to the radio constantly back then.  Specific songs bring back specific triggers, and I find it pretty incredible that I an transported back to those same exact feelings that I experienced back then.

There are so many it's hard to put them all down. Songs always promote memories.

There are a ton of songs that bring out a lot of memories for me. Music is a wonderful way of relating to the world.

I have several songs that I connect to memories.  First time I heard George Strait's 'Check Yes or No' I was sitting in the audience waiting for 'It's academic' to start.  I was on the Yearbook staff in high school so it was my assignment, and my brother was Captain of the debate team.  Another song that brings back memories is Conway Twitty's 'Blue Eyes crying in the rain'.  Whenever I hear it I get an image of my grandmother Jennie (passed away six years ago) standing at the kitchen sink while I was sitting at the table facing her.  She turned to me while it played on her cassette player and said, "I don't know what it is, but whenever I play this song why does it always seem to rain?"

There some songs that if I hear on the radio I have to turn it off because they came out during the time if the deaths of my grandmother and father.  Luckily the songs are old so I don't hear them often.

Too many to mention. But being its Memorial Day and so many lives were lost in Vietnam War for nothing,The Smothers Bros did a show in 1967 or 68 that asked the question why?

And The Association vocal band backed it singing their song "Requiem for the masses"
