(ANA) All Nippon Airways Fist Fight
« on: May 03, 2017, 11:13:19 pm »
After the United Airlines debacle, another incident happened the following month of May. It was Monday morning when it occurred. Yesterday morning while driving to work, I heard on the news radio two men broke out into a brawl shortly before takeoff from Tokyo to Los Angeles. One male passenger sat 3 rows behind the two men throwing punches at one another like in a boxing match while the flight attendants tried to break it off. The scene was captured on mobile phone video until it got too out of hand, the male passenger stopped filming to intervene. I am sure you can find this news online and on YouTube.

Needless to say, it made me realize it is not always fun and safe to fly. It’s not always smooth sailing. It’s already a hassle to go through security, standing in long lines, checking in, the long wait etc. As soon as you finally get yourself seated, you’ll never know which passenger could potentially cause a scene to cause long delays. You’ll never know when you’ll be bumped off because seats are not always guaranteed, and ticket prices are so expensive. As long as you can get from point A to point B safely on time, then you’re lucky.

Did any of the recent events changed your perspective regarding flying?  ???

I always fly Southwest and since I have health issues, I always get to board the plane first which is good as they have no assigned seating. I sit in the front row and ignore the other passengers lol I don't fly often but I don't mind when I do. I feel relatively safe.

I have never had any desire to fly and now I have even less desire to fry now - telling people they can't wear leggings when everyone said the girls were dressed appropriately, man handling a customer off a flight, and now this.  No flying has become an act of barbarism.  I am glad I don't have to fly because some  people do.

What is wrong with people nowadays?  It is ridiculous.  Is it alcohol, rudeness, over-sensitivity, or just plain stupidity or what?  When you can't peacefully fly on an airplane and be aware of others in a respectful and polite manner, it shows something about people in general.  I would never think of not being on my best behavior and trying to get along with others in such a close environment.  And the thing is, it appears it is not only passengers but some of the employees of the airlines that all need training. Suggestion:  Maybe they ought to test people suspected of drinking too much and pull their ticket so they can't get on the plane.  This might address one issue.  Oh, and maybe some sensitivity training that it isn't all about you in such proximity to others.
