City Slicker ?
« on: April 27, 2017, 07:20:45 pm »
Are you a City Slicker or are you Country ? I was born a city kid with city parents but always dreamed of being in the country with animals. Got my first pony at 6 having driven my father insane begging for one. Had horses, and about every farm animal you can think of most of the rest of my life. Used to have a farm and raised all my own food, meat, cows, pigs, chickens, huge garden, fruit trees, and a fish stocked pond. Now I'm pretty much home bound due in part to taking on a set of concrete steps covered with ice.  No farm any more too much for me now.. just a dog and my computer!  Live In a tiny little town  pop. 67 on the Beautiful Mississippi River and get to watch the world go by out my windows.

I am a Suburbia type of person. Not so crazy as the city, and not so quiet as the country. I have a decent sized house with a yard, and stores within walking distance.

I have lived in the country all of my life.  Seem very out of place when I go to a big city.  Can't stand all of the traffic since I am used to a one traffic light town.
Have a wonderful day!

I hate big places now also, as I've gotten used to living on a dead end in a town POP 67   I have not traveled farther than 20 mile from home in over 4 years.

Now, cities are very complicated: overcrowding, pollution, too much crime. Farms-I do not like farming. I like to live in the country- in a cabin to work on my personal projects. Breath fresh air, enjoy nature...now that is life-the good life.

I think I get to have the best of both worlds. I live on the outskirts of a big city. It has the convenience of being in a populated area while also being quiet like the country. I like that. Though unfortunately I might be moving further into downtown if I get the new job I want.

City Slicker who has lived on 6 = 10 acres almost all my life, so a country city slicker/  We have always had livestock, horses, chickens...best of both worlds.  There are advantages of both places.
