the doctor
« on: April 02, 2017, 07:16:55 am »
wants to see you every three, six months or once a year.
even if everything is fine and you have no health problems, she/he wants to see you.
when something goes wrong, one follow up is enough, I would think.
the doctor sends a nurse to check and evaluate.
he/she might send a physical therapist to help.

what happens if you only want to see the doctor when something goes wrong?
nothing wrong with that; that's what they are there for.
"don't call me. I'll call you."

they want us to support the system and make our monetary contribution.

Only go once a year for a checkup  unless there is something wrong.  My husband has a heart condition and he only goes twice year for his schedule visits

Oh, do I agree with you!!!  My doctor is quite unhappy that he can't find anything "wrong enough" to make more money!!!  I  tell him when something's wrong he'll be the first to know - otherwise - if it ain't broke - don't fix it!!!!!!

I go when I need to see them if something is wrong, if you go on their schedules they will have you running back to them all year; so I try and be pro active and not allow them to rule me because of the ability of their ability to be billed and file a claim with the insurance company!!!!

I go once a year for a checkup and I also go for a mammogram.  So far everything is fine.

When you're older, and are taking multiple medicines daily, it's important to go to the doctor's regularly to make sure the dosage of the medicines are still good for you.

After my father had a stoke, I think he had to go to his doctor's every 4 months for a blood test to make sure his medicines are working.

For healthy individuals, I think 1 yearly check up is good enough.

i hate going to the doctor too but Life is a gift I would hope everyone would go to the doctor at least once a year and make sure everything is ok. There are many things like strokes that don't always have any symptoms. If things are caught early it could save your life and money too. :rainbow: :peace:

Doctors want to see serious cases only. Minor health problems are always handle by the nurses.

Doctors make me crazy,,,,  I wish they would just tell me what is wrong with me and try to fix it.  Some just push pills  and others don't do anything

My problem with getting in  to see the Doctor is when some idiot cancel your appointment and never call to let me know.  The worst is they will look you in the eye and say they did call me.  I had to tell this one idiot that in today's world they have caller ID.

I go to the Dr rountinely because of health issues.

I have to tell you about my Father's recent Dr. bill he got in the mail. He see's a Nurse Practitioner.
The visit was $106. He had bloodwork and it was $8. They removed wax from his ears and charged $73! So the entire visit costs $187!!! His insurance only paid $81 and his portion was $106. He has Medicare and Medical Mutual. Medical charges are outrageous these days!!!

It is important to have an annual physical by your doctor, and follow up visits 3 - 6 months for a pre-existing condition
