March Madness
« on: March 17, 2017, 05:31:16 am »
Did anyone fill out their bracketology for a chance at either 1 million dollars for a perfect bracketology or 25,000 for the best bracket overall.  I did 13 brackets and my best record after day 1 is 12-4.  I figured Middle Tennessee busted most brackets.  Every year there is that one team that stands out and busts everyone's bracket and this year is no exception.  I am hoping for better day 2 of March Madness.  This is my favorite time of the year for any sports.  I watch and enjoy all sports but tennis, soccer and golf.

I knew a lot of folks that had middle Tennessee state. So far not a lot of major upsets. Xavier over Maryland got me.

I am not a basketball fan either so no help here.  Good luck.

After the first round I am 26-6. I did lose two teams in the sweet 16 already SMU and Maryland but everyone from my elite 8 is still left.

I certainly did!  Do it every year.  Sadly, I lost my Maryland bracket but hopefully Middle Tennessee can go all the way.

I had Middle Tennessee and missed all but one in the first bracket. Then Wisconsin (my alma mater) had a second round win that started my downward spiral. I have mixed feelings...kind of like watching an ex drive off a cliff in my prize jeep. I am still holding a strong fourth in a field of thirty, even with the Villanova and Duke losses. I started the bracket pool three years ago and it is amazing how excited everyone gets. Even the people, like me, that are absolutely clueless about college basketball teams! The winner of our pool gets three hundred dollars. Not thinking I am there but would be happy to take home one hundred and twenty for third place! Thursday and Friday should knock out the first and second place peeps but I have got people on my tail!

I didn't fill out a bracket. I'm not too big on NCAA sports, but if I did, I'd surely fill one out.

This was the first year in many, many years that I did not fill out a bracket or enter any contests for the March Madness Tournament.  I had been extremely busy the past  2 1/2 weeks.  My brother-in-law died on Sunday, my grandson decides to be born 5 weeks early on Wednesday and we left for a trip that had been planned for the past 1 1/2 years on Friday.
Have a wonderful day!
