Going Camping

I am going camping with my boys this weekend and I cannot wait even though we will be sleeping in tents knowing there are bears and other wild animals around. I am looking forward to just getting a away and being peaceful in nature. I am looking forward to the smores too.

Good for you and what an excellent parent you are! Braving wild creatures, sleeping uncomfortably, probably going to be cold out? I bought a six month membership to a club for my son. It sends him survival gear each month. I think I am even more excited than he is! The first box had a machete, parachute cord, candles, a military MRE (Meal replacement), flash light and waterproof pouch for his phone. Yesterday he got a box with a fishing reel, water proof matches, tomahawk, knife, a dehydrated chili packet (serves four) and wild mushroom guide. This is so much better than a magazine subscription! Past packs have had gas masks, tents, water purifiers/filters, traps for small animals, ponchos, and blankets. I can hardly wait till next month!

Oh I'm so jealous.  I love camping.  It's the best escape ever.  Someday I'm going to be a full time workamper.  It's a plan I researched years ago.  Fell in love with... like baking.  I don't mind tent camping but when I begin to make a life of it... I'm going to get an RV... and stay in a posh resort.  Ahh dreaming.

That's cool! I've never been camping but it sounds fun.. except for the bugs. I think I'm more afraid of bugs than bears haha

Me and my husband love camping. We did in Blue Ridge Mountain in NC in Fall.

Oh, awesome!!! Have a great time! I was just researching campgrounds nearby, as an idea for the near future. So far Pocahontas State Park has my interest piqued.  Be safe and have fun getting closer to nature!
