hate being put on hold

it seems every body you call puts you on hold and it would not be bad but they leave you on t for ever  and thats what my day has been today i must of been on hold for a good 6 hours today

I agree. There are few things more infuriating than being put on hold, being passed from department to department and then possibly being bullied by more sales tactics!

Its especially annoying when they play loud annoying music over and over

I am not pleased when the chain message begins in a language other than English. My doctor's office is the worst. It starts in a different language for two minutes. It then moves on to meeting the needs of everyone but patients. If you are doctor push two...pharmacist...press three and so on forever. Then the message pushes to pimping expensive weight loss programs. Then, after about eight minutes, they get to the patient section but you are not allowed to enter the extension for the person you wish to speak to until all options have been explained. My physician's assistant is the very last option available. At this point I have lost eleven minutes that I will never get back again. This voice mail is second only to government entities.

Ive been hanging up on everyone who has been putting me on hold lately if the call was really important they wouldnt put me on hold at the start is how i feel

When I get put on hold I don't stay on it very long.If they don't get back to me in 10 minutes I hang up.I can find better things to do with my time than spend it on hold.

I understand it has to happen sometimes, I just hate when I'm on hold juuust long enough that I half forget about it, and then when someone finally picks up I'm always startled

6 hours is brutal! I don't mind being placed on hold as long as I'm not hung up on (that's what would bug me most).

Such a pet peeve! Especially for someone with anxiety who already feels like they're going to have a heart attack from making or receiving the call alone---being put on hold is the worst! Constant anticipation of the person coming back to the call or finally being transferred to the right department...  I don't even like talking about it! Haha.

I hate it also,,,,,,,,,,,,  I give them 5 minutes.  Hang up  and try again later  (except DRS. office)  I was kept on hold one day for an hour for a place that I had bought something ( not giving name). they kept telling me your next in line,,,  yea right !!!!     finally got to me,,,  and  they told me what I needed to do in 2 minutes time.  I was so mad I called them every name in the book and sent the item back and never have bought from them again.  If they had just answered my email I had send them it would have been fine !!!

I despise being put on hold!
I recently was disputing a charge on my credit card and 2 hours and 5 CSR's later I FINALLY got my dispute filed! It is ridiculous!
