First snow
« on: February 09, 2017, 05:55:33 am »
Thought we could get through this year with no snow.....but....today we are getting hit with a storm.  We have about 7 inches but it's suppose to stop in about 2 hours,  where is spring??  This is crazy weather yesterday the sun was shining and the temperature was in the middle 60's and today in the 20's and snowing.

You must live somewhere in the east, where I live. We got 4" for the first time this winter. It quit around  around 8 a.m. Two TV stations called for 4-8" and one station called for 8-12" (glad they were wrong!).  We've had a "dusting" a couple times but nothing to shovel or plow.

Yesterday, it was 60 degrees. Today, snow and wind gusts. The snow is heavy and bent the tree branches so much that they are laying on my husband's pickup truck. They're not broke off, but that's how heavy this snow is on the tree branches.

It's never too too bad if the 1st significant snow is in February. Only a few more months!

Right now it is 77 outside, come Sunday we are suppose to have snow, it will be still be about this warn  until then.  I just hope we don't have the same kind of wind we are having right now. Makes for a miserable day when it is cold and then the wind blowing 30-50 miles.

In the northeast the last couple of days we have been having Colorado weather: 50 degrees one day, 8-10 inches of snow the next! It is global warming for sure that is causing this stuff.

It's crazy really! Yesterday it was pretty warm out and I was even able to walk around in a sweater. Today I wake up and there's snow everwhere... thanks, climate change!  :P

Weather was beautiful yesterday, in the 60's, and now it's 17F with 9"+ of snow >.<

Thankfully it's not snowing here anymore.  I think the storm has move on to Boston, and they're expecting a huge amount of snow.

I saw on the weather reports and on the Today show that some places in the east really got a lot of snow today. They said it was very cold and snowy in New York city and their temperatures were from 18 to 25 degrees. Brrrrr!!!! They said it was 65 degrees yesterday. It just shows how quickly the crazy weather can change. I am so glad that here in Phoenix we have had beautiful weather and we don't have to deal with snow and ice. today it was 51 and tomorrow is supposed to be around 85. We might get a little rain on Saturday and Sunday though, but that is fine. We can always use the rain.

We had one little snow here in middle Tennessee. Had a about 2 inches.  I did have enough to make snow cream.  We don't get big snows here like we use too.  Hope everyone has a good day and may God bless each of you and keep you safe. :)

I'm enjoying the mild winter because I like warm temps.  I don't want to see any snow not even on tv.
