« on: January 28, 2017, 04:02:07 am »
Have you filed and received your income taxes  and refund yet? I am still waiting for my w-2, so i can file mine. As I mentioned before, I plan on paying off a bill.

I filed mine this week but I'm not expecting to get it back until around the ending of February or the beginning of march. They say it can take up to 3 weeks and longer if you are claiming dependents.

Refunds aren't sent until February at the earliest. A lot of refunds will be held to at least Feb. 15th because of the PATH Act.

You usually have to wait until after January 31 to file your taxes, because all the people/institutions that are required to send you W-2's, 1099-R's, and other tax documents in order for you to file are required to get the docs to you by this deadline.  Unless you are doing the uncomplicated EZ form for a single filer with no dependents, is wise to wait.

I haven't gotten my w-2 yet, but I plan to put my refund in savings to let it accrue interest and use for any future car maintenance.
