Legendary Thespian John Hurt has passed on at the age of 77 from cancer. He appeared in many classic films and will be greatly missed.  RIP John

I was so sad to hear this :( What I remember him most from is the first Alien movie. And of course Hellboy, Harry Potter, Doctor Who...the guy was good.

This was so sad to read this morning :(. Although he did not have a huge part in harry potter I love and care about the cast deeply and this truly saddens me. Rest in peace good sir.

Can't believe he's gone!  I feel like I've lost a family member.  I grew up watching him in Jim Henson's Storyteller, followed him in just about everything else after that from The Ghoul, to I Claudius, The Elephant Man, The Black Cauldrion (he does the voice of the Horned King), Hand's Christian Andersen's Thumbilna (he's Mr. Mole),  the Narrator for The Tiger Movie, Rob Roy he plays Montrose, V for Vendetta as Adam Suutler, in the Harry Potter movies he's Mr. Oilvander, Labyrinth he's Audric, Hellboy he's Professor Broom, In Indana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull he's Dr. Harold Oxley, In Herucules (2014) he's Cotys, King of Thrace and of course he did the voice of the Dragon in Merlin the TV show in 2013.  Needless to say he was one of my favorite actors and right now there is a big hole in my heart.

Very upsetting.  :( 2017 is already taking our beloved actors! I remember him most from Harry Potter (such an iconic voice!), since I grew up watching those films. Within the last couple months I saw him in The Shout and 1984.  :rose:

He'll be missed. :( His performance in The Elephant Man was so moving.
