My ear hurts.

I need to lay down on a heating pad to make my ear feel better.

There must be an ant inside your ear. You need to give it some peanut butter so the ants can sniff it out. That's what my grandpa did. Or at least that's what he did. I was told he had been favoring the ear for quite some time and none of the pain meds were helping so he put peanut butter just at the outer ear area and Voila! It came out. Problem solved!!!

My ear has hurt for almost three weeks now.

See a doctor or could be a bad tooth. Sometimes at night my ear hurts lying down on it but when i turn over it stops.Maybe an infection so get antibiotics .

You might have a major blockage in your ear.  I would get it checked.
