"I'll call you"
« on: December 24, 2016, 10:41:04 am »
in this day and age, lots of people have their phone to their ear.
they can't put it down for very long.
Then, on the other extreme, there are friends who say "I'll call you" and hesitate as they go to dial the number.

Oh I never hesitate to call people. When i go on walks i call people when I am feeling down I will call people when I am eating lunch when I am driving. I still enjoy talking on the phone fairly often mainly because all my friends dont live to close anymore.

I don't make phone calls very often. I usually don't even text very much. But I still find myself with my phone in my hand most of the time, because of all the apps I use.

Texting is really the big thing. Why do people hesitate. I just dont answer. People like their privacy

I'm one of those who sometime hesitate when I call people. I guess for me and my busy schedule that I would rather take that free second to relax and text someone instead of talking.

I use my phone more for entertainment purposes than for phone calls. Facebook, texting, gaming, mobile banking, etc. Don't get me wrong, I use it to call my family when I can, but I'm not glued to it in the sense of non-stop talking. I actually prefer to use my home phone to make calls, as the reception in my room is terrible and most times I lose calls.

I dont say I'll call you...it's text me or I'll text you.  I find it so much easier and faster to text.

I don't talk on the phone very much anymore and none of my friends ever say "I'll call you". It's crazy how talking on the phone has become more of an annoyance to me nowadays.

It was weird, one of my friends and I was texting and I just said to call me because it would be easier and then there was no response. I still have not heard from him for over a week now. ::)

I make calls on my home phone, because it's cheaper (I only pay $75 a year) and if I use my cell I text (but I input the message with voice).

When I have the choice, I prefer to text other people because it doesn't demand that they be available when I chose to communicate with them. When you call people, you really are saying I wish to speak and this is when is convenient for me.  When you text, you are giving your recipient time to respond, time to decide whether it is convenient to speak, and what to say. For anyone that knows me, they text me. If a subject matter is too complicated to text, I will text first to ask if it is a convenient time to talk!
