Avoid possible injuries and bone fractures. Some people avoid gym equipment completely.
They swim, jog and do old fashion calisthenics.

I have a Schwinn Airdyne, tons of fitness DVDs, 1-15 pound dumbbells, 3-15 lb kettlebells, various resistance bands/cords, club step, high step, medicine ball, and a stability ball. Oh, and a foam roller whenever I feel muscle pain.

I have always had exercise equipment.  I have a treadmill, a recumbent bike and free weights.

I have free weights which I use periodically and just gifted myself with a treadmill.  I set it up in my living room because from past experience I know that if it is in a part of the house where I don't spend a lot of time I will not use it.  I have had it for about 3 weeks and use it most days.  I am walking off about 100-125 extra calories per day.

No, I do not but plan on purchasing one of those bikes I have recently seen advertised, lets hope I use it and it does not sit and just collect dust and/or take up space ;)

I bought a Gold's Gym Home Gym a few year's ago, used it for about a year. It is too janky / jerly, not smooth at all and causes joint pain from the poor quality of the machine. My husband still uses it but complains relentlessly about shoulder pain. I do though want the bowflex cycle machine advertised a lot these days, I think I'd get good use out of it, but over $2000 for the one I want, Also the nordic trac x22i, looks especially motivating, over $3000....Maybe I should just spend the $10 per month at Planet Fitness.

I have a treadmill and free weights. Being in the military, I also have free access to unlimited gym equipment. So I do not have to worry about the expensive gym memberships. :-)

I have a Gazelle, which is kinda like an elliptical, that has been gathering dust for quite some time. I'm sucker for infomercials - which is why I try not to watch them. :-\
