Exercise equipment
« on: December 11, 2016, 08:54:28 am »
Do you have exercise equipment in your house? I have a treadmill that is in good condition.  I no longer use it because of health issues and doctors orders. It has become a item that sits in the living room that I store things on, lol.

I don't have exercise equipment in my house anymore because I don't use it. I joined the gym because I get more motivation and it works out well.

I just have one of those pedal machines I don't even know what you call it.  It's small and you just pedal.

I got a stationary bike over Black Friday. I really like it, been doing it most days. I'm a pacer so instead of pacing I just get on and peddle.

Just free weights in my home. I know a lot of people who have stationary bikes and never use them.
I never did understand that.  :confused1:

I have been considering the board being advertised now that was featured on Shark Tank. You just stand on it and twist. It's kind of expensive though.  :-\

I'd be interested to know if any FCers have tried it.

I had a treadmill once and it worked great to hang my laundry on.  Now I go to the gym with a free membership I received with my health insurance.

Now there is a good idea - from the health insurance's standpoint. If enough people make use of that gym membership, they are likely to be healthier and lower insurance payout costs. There's always a chance of someone overdoing it and pulling a muscle or dropping a weight plate on their big toe, but generally I gotta believe this is beneficial for everyone involved.

I too have a free gym membership through my insurance company.  Only requirement is to use the gym a minimum of 12 times per month.

I have a treadmill in the basement which comes in handy for cold winter days.

Mostly I walk outside on days I am not at work.  At work it is common for me to walk 10,000 to 15,000 steps in a day.
