This is the first I have heard of his passing.  What a shame.  He was a very distinguished man from what I can recall.  I'll have to do a little research to find some of his work.  Then I can reflect properly.

He was really good in Man from U.N.C.L.E. I also liked him in Magnificent Seven.

I told my dad about him and he said he was a really good actor. I don't recall ever seeing Man from U.N.C.L.E., but my dad said it was a good show.

I remember!  I loved to watch The Man from U.N.C.L.E. when I was young.  I haven't seen that show in years.
Have a wonderful day!

Agreed on both counts. Of course, I've seen him on a number of other things like Columbo, The *bleep* Van Dyke Show, Gunsmoke, I could go on. He had a varied career that spanned decades. I know a number of people who have had the pleasure of meeting him, they all said he was a very nice person. He will be missed!

Great actor with a classic voice! As a kid I remember growing up watching him in the final season of the A-Team and of course as Ross Webster as the villain of Superman III.

RIP Robert.

I literally cried when I read he had passed.  He was part of those immortal actors that deserve the recognition they received.  Everything he touched he made his own with a style and dignity only he possessed.  The A-team, U.N.C.L.E., even the two Colombo episodes he guest-stared not to mention his movies.  The most handsome of the Magnificent Seven bunch to be sure.  I will truly miss him.  Fine actors like him are a rare breed and it is so sad we are loosing them in bunches.
