Can you believe this?
« on: November 11, 2016, 03:44:28 pm »
I started a survey.  The first (and ONLY) question was yes or no, are you in a coma.  Of course I answered no.  Next screen - disqualified you do not meet requirements.  Really?

Yes, really.   ???  I have had the same thing happen to me a few times.  I can't quite figure out why it is that survey companies want you, the panelist, to pay attention and answer questions truthfully and accurately.

Now, how in the world can one do that when the panelist, in this case, seems to be required to be in a coma before proceeding with the questionnaire?   LOL    :silly:

Maybe the survey filled up to the quota just when you began.  Instead of the company informing you of that, they may just have a generic page saying you are not qualified, or something like that; just a thought.

It's just like being instantly disqualified. It's not really anything you did. The survey is either already full or you're screened out from your profile information

I have begun surveys that asked me: how often I vacuum the ceiling, How many times a week do I travel to outer space and other questions such as are you in a coma. I really enjoy these questions. I assume they are trying to weed out bots.

 ;D

As the others suggested, you must have screened out because you were over quota or the survey was completed.

That's really odd. I've been asked some strange questions before but never that one. I don't always understand why the survey companies do what they do but as others said, it was probably only disqualifying you because the quota was full.

What might have happened is the actual survey is closed. Those qualifying questions are part of the site portal that then routes you to the actual survey. Not the real qualifying questions for the survey.

Seems like the quota was met already. They have many cute ways of letting you know your service won't be needed.

I ran to surveys that asks really weird questions before. I guess it's done for quality control purposes.

Ha...I wonder if you would also be disqualified if you answered YES.   :confused1:

I don't know why it would kill them to say, thanks for your time but we are sorry this survey has met its quota and been closed.

They ask some of the dumbest questions and then they give dumb reasons why you do not qualify. :P

It's a quality question to see if you are paying attention or a robot program. But yeah, if you answered correctly and got disqualified, it's from your saved information or the quota was exceeded. Today has been nothing but exceeded quotas for me.
