I have seen alot of people's user names and then you click on it and all it shows is like there number of posts and how many times they been thanked! My question is how can someone do this to where it dont show a user name?

I don't think you can.  Nobody can do anything with your user name.  And it doesn't give any personal information.

This is new to me.  I never bother to even click on someone else user name.

It does not bother me that it shows. Most users do not use their name anyway. It does not give out any information other than what you stated.

I've never had a problem with it. It doesn't show anything that you don't want it to. I very rarely click on anyone's username.
