I have not bought anything on ebay in a while. I use Amazon

Me too, Amazon stands behind every order & I like that. Ebay is just any joe blow wanting to sell anything regardless of what it truly is.

Nice thing about Ebay, they keep track. You will probably get your $$ back.

Give that person horrible rating, and be specific, so they dont get more business.

I have bought a few things there, and been satisfied with the whole process. I watch for sellers with good ratings etc.

Hope you get your money back.

My husband is an e-bay seller.  He's had minimal complaints with what he sells.  In fact in 5 years I think there ahs only been one person that didn't what they got.  They mailed it back and he refunded them.  I've learned how to shop very very carefully on ebay.

I stopped buying most things on e-bay for the same reason. Just not worth the risk for me anymore.

like everyone is saying there is good and there is bad I also check out the sellers ratings  and how happy other customers are because like someone else said if you need to return something they could very well say they didn't receive it

I always give the seller the chance to make the situation right, if they don't then give negative feedback so the next person won't run into the same problem.

sorry to hear that, check any return shipping fee.  I'll return it, if I am not happy with it.

Ya, you have to be careful on there. I bought something that just was a piece of junk too over the summer. You really have too study the picture and everything else.

That's a shame. There are only certain things I will buy from ebay, like hats, shirts, but not jewelry. I feel like it's always a risk to buy from that site because even though most people are trustworthy, some are not and you never know if what you see is really what you are going to get.

I ordered a piece of jewelry from eBay a few days ago and I received it today. I am shocked by what was sent me. It does not look anything like the picture and it does not fit the description. It was supposed to be .925 sterling silver. There is no stamp to indicate it is sterling silver and the bag said Made in China. It's a piece of junk..  It has no weight. At first, I thought the seller made a mistake and sent me the wrong product.

Years ago, I got some nice things on eBay but then the seller quit eBay and everything after that was junk just like today.  I stopped buying on eBay but got fooled again with this piece of jewelry.

I paid $10.99 for this pendant and it looks like the seller probably bought it in the hundreds for 25 cents.

I have already complained to the seller.   :o :bad:

Ebay has a guarantee to get your money back if the article isn't as described. I would put a complaint in to ebay.  Make sure you print out what the description is and anything else pertinent to the sale just in case you have a big problem with the seller.

A few years ago I bought a color laser printer from someone in NY. Cost almost $1000. It was nothing like described and didn't work either. I tried to work it out with the seller but he kept putting me off. I returned the item almost immediately but he never refunded my money. Back then, I used a credit card so I was covered with the credit charges and with ebay. i put a complaint in with them and they investigated after I had to send them all the emails back and forth (this was all before today's ebay complaint process) and it took a couple weeks, but I got  the charges reversed and the seller was banned from ever selling on there again.

I bought numerous things on ebay but always clicked the north america and USA buttons to only search within these areas.  Never buy anything that has a seller in China

Complain to ebay.  You can also leave a negative review if the seller won't give you your money back.

I used to love to buy my jewelry from ebay. I bought a pair of jade and garnet earrings as well as a pair of quartz earrings from a seller ages ago, and they are still some of my favorite pieces. The were obviously handmade and were worth every cent. I think it all started going downhill will etsy became popular. My thought is all of the good jewelry makers moved over there and now ebay is filled with people that are reselling cheap stuff from China.

If that seller does not give you satisfaction report them to ebay. I had a seller who sold me a pool cover and sent me the wrong cover. They wanted me to pay to ship it back and a 15 percent restocking fee. No way was I going to do that. I contacted ebay and got a full refund and the seller had to pay for me to ship back their incorrect pool cover.
