October
« on: September 29, 2016, 04:56:19 pm »
I am happy that it is going to be October on Saturday because it is fall and it will start getting a little cooler, but October also means the holidays are around the corner. I am not ready for it to be the holidays already. The time is moving to fast for me.

Love the way the leaves change color in the fall.

I love the weather in October but there are so many things going on! Yes the leave changes are beautiful an it is cold enough outside for the fire pit. But I have to begin thinking about putting the roof on my jeep; winterize the scooter; son's fall lacrosse games, rake leaves, winterize the waterfall; put away the deck furniture; clean, scrub and stain the deck; clean the outside windows; reserve three hours for carving pumpkins to name a few October activities. All of this as I wrap up the end of the year reports at my day time job (55 plus hours) and the night time job is busy until January fifteenth. Even my part time job is crazier as people start ramping up for the holiday season. Kind of crazy with helping my son prepare college applications and videos for his sports.

I'm not looking forward to it.  I prefer summer.  It's so depressing when the days get shorter I hate it when the sun sets at 5pm ugh!

October is okay in terms of weather. Here in Florida, we're still in active hurricane season which runs June ! - November 30 :bad:
As for the holidays don't stress over it. Take it in strides and be at peace.

A good tip is to start the holiday shopping process all through the year. It's easier on the budget that way.

So excited for October, it's my favorite month. The leaves are starting to change and the weather is getting a bit cooler. It's still really warm here during the day but at night it's cooling down quite a bit. And of course Halloween :)

I don't like October at all. I miss summer, and I don't like the colder weather. It also drags miserably because I'm looking forward to the holidays when I can get time off from work. And this year it will especially drag, because there's a wedding coming up in November that I am DREADING, and I just want it to be all over. (Weddings are worse than funerals because they are a lot more work.)
