I think something need to be done about it , it need to stop . whoever these people are that are doing this , its not funny . if you do see one make sure you take a picture , and the location .   that not right to be doing that , clowns are post to be funny and to cheer people up , not to go around and haunting people and to do that to people . come on all!!

What are you talking about exactly? Are there rogue clowns going around terrifying people? If so, I certainly had not heard about it.

I think it is awfully cruel, and I'm not sure what the purpose is... That being said I can't think of any legitimate legal recourse that could be taken. It isn't illegal, just mean.

Actually, some of these clowns are being charged for making terroristic threats. The way I see it, it isn't illegal to wear a clown costume, but once you start to intimidate others (esp. with threat of eminent physical violence), you have crossed the line and are now infringing on the other person's rights.

Also, not all of the clown attacks are real. Some police departments have mentioned that sometimes, people will call in a clown attack as a hoax itself. They know with the rise of these cases, police are becoming more vigilant to these attacks causing the call-in hoax to work so well. I'm not sure if these call-in hoaxes are just towards the police or if they are using the police to play a joke on someone else (eg akin to the swatting phenomenon where people would call the police on someone else causing the police / SWAT team to break into the other person's house). Again this is illegal waste of police resources, and some of these call-in hoaxters are being charged for those types of crimes.

When the first clowns appeared in public I thought it was funny. There's a photo of these creepy child clowns on a escalator and the people around them looking nervous and confused. I found that one to be amusing, but since then, it has become annoying, stupid, and dangerous with these copycats.

The clown stuff is a bit ridiculous. I understand it's Halloween time, but still acting like an idiot, making threats to someone, or trespassing is just not a smart thing to do. I'm honestly surprised one of these clowns hasn't messes with the wrong person yet and gotten themselves killed (that I know of at least). I did hear last week on the news that someone dressed as a clown got shot.

I was seriously scared that I was going to see a clown on the street... I wouldn't have known what to do honestly, I would've probably just ran for my life haha. Now that it's kind of over, it is mostly funny though.

I am terrified to death of clowns... I think that the people who are dressing up as clowns and terrorizing people are mental and have nothing better to do then cause problems for other people... they should be locked up in a nut house or put in jail cause its not funny at all.
