“While you're going through this process of trying to find the satisfaction in your work, pretend you feel satisfied. Tell yourself you had a good day. Walk through the corridors with a smile rather than a scowl. Your positive energy will radiate. If you act like you're having fun, you'll find you are having fun.”

That is the art of positive thinking which I was taught in my early career. The more you believe in yourself and your performance, the more you are likely to succeed. My sons are both wrestlers. My oldest son has loads of confidence, but my youngest son does not. He started his wrestling tournament in January this year and his first opponent took off his sweater to reveal a current state champion. Well that was it. My son became tearful thinking he was never going to beat a state champion. And guess what, he didn't win! I watched them wrestle and I believed my son could beat the other kid, he just needed to believe he could. My son now believes he can beat this boy, but only because they met more recently and my son won the match. But the point is my son needed to win the match to believe he could win. Why could he not believe beforehand.

That's a wonderful quote - thank you for sharing. I especially love the part, "Walk through the corridors with a smile rather than a scowl." It's something I try to do it all the time...and it works.  :)
