I did have one but the voice quality was not at all good. All the time it was like either I couldn't hear or the person whom I called couldn't hear. I donno what went wrong with mine. My frens seem to have no problems. Maybe it's just cos of the place I live in and the internet speed maybe. So, finally I had to cancel it. :dontknow: :(

I would love to try Magic Jack.  I just don't like how you have to have your computer on. What if I get an emergency call when my computer is off.  I can't just get a voicemail the net day lol.  I think it is more for business.

My computer is on 24/7 anyway, they last longer that way. But you are right, I just use mine for business.

Did you sign up as an affiliate Oldbubby?  You can make money referring it too.  I wrote a blog about it on Yuwie if you want more information on it look there.

I love my MagicJack, the only thing I don't like about it is that after two hours the software resets itself and hangs you up.

I've posted on this thread before and I keep reading the comments to find my answer. I'll take the chance of looking stupid, I guess. I really want to try the thing...I have Verizon now for phone and internet, can I keep the Verizon internet service and have them disconncet my phone? See, I said it was stupid. I'm just not getting it.

Magic Jack is ok..sadly it does have a limit on the amount of calls you can make. I was going to do that until I read that in the fine print - will stick with the cable phone as it is all inclusive, otherwise I could see the benifts. Also I did alot of research on line about it and read way too many complaints. Those of you who have it and are pleased I am happy it is working for you!

All I can find is "magicJack provides free local and long distance calls to the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands." and I don't see any limitations anywhere.

I wouldn't suggest using it as your only phone, but as a second line it's all I need.

Sure you can, but be aware these big companies have tricky billing arrangements. If they are bundled your cost could go up.

I bought mine back in April. I love mine! I have found that it does work better with a corded phone, opposed to a cordless. I just paid $60 for 5 more years of service. I would take Magic Jack over MaBell any day!

I would love nothing more than to get MagicJack since my phone bill is $70 a month.  Unfortunately for me, I live in the middle of nowhere and we have satellite internet, which apparently isn't compatible.  I really hope they fix that, then I could afford to upgrade my internet plan!  ;D
