I believe everyone has the right to feel the way they feel.  There is no law requiring everyone to stand during the playing of the anthem.   Not that big of a deal to me.  I have read where there are many vets who are supporting his right not to stand, that is what they fought for.

No one is saying that he doesn't have the right to sit.

Acting like a 2 year old!!  If you are unhappy with something then get off your butt and help make a change.

Pathetic behavior.  I love and appreciate my opportunity to be a citizen of the US.  If someone who enjoys the benefits of living in this beautiful country cannot be grateful for the opportunity to live here....

they should move somewhere else.

There are too many military people who have given their lives so we can enjoy our sense of freedom so I feel disgusted when I hear about things like this.

Have a great day!

I don't think he's actually disrespecting men and women who have fallen in service to the country by not standing because in his public statements he says nothing about those people. He's just disrespecting racism in this country which is an honorable thing to disrespect. I think it takes a lot of guts on his part and kind of admire him for it.

Disrespectful and to be honest I think anyone who disrespects the flag national anthem etc should be booted out of the country.  I would love to see how much they get away with in other countries. :bad:

I think everybody needs to shut up about it and stop giving him attention.  It is exactly what he wants.  No one should have ever said anything or acknowledged it in any way.  He thinks it is funny and loves the attention he is getting.

Simple - if you are an AMERICAN you should not disrespect the country that gave you so many opportunities to make it and you should be grateful for all you have received.

That is poooooo, but he don't have to stand, his right, (USA, we) still love him. If you don't love it leave it. If you don't like the police department, than go do the policeman buddy system thing, get involved, positive not do the spoil child thing, use the effect and affect the situation. Study them they will let you, tell him to get personally involved in the neighborhood people, only then he will know the truth. In my utopia towns, you don't even need a police department.

We are taught to stand and respect, but we can't make other do what we believe to be the right way and the respectful way.

Honestly, people are making such a big deal out of nothing. Who really cares?

It's not being disrespectful, it's about how you feel about the national anthem.  A lot of people cross their hearts when it's played, but do something different when not being noticed.
