That's why I just pay for basic. I use to get irritated that by the middle of the month we had see everything. So I have basic and if there is something we want to see we just wait on it. Once in a while we do pay per view.

I have the basic from the cable company.  I don't have 700 channels but there is nothing on the few I have.  I usually don't remember too much about what I have already seen so it is ok to re-watch most.

Hey bigpar, what actually do you do for work, fun, anything, you seem to be quite boring and lame and you never seem to have any quality posts on here.  You might think about spending some money on spelling and grammar lessons. ::) 8)

I probably have 700 channels to but don't watch them much. I have Netflix which is very good.

That's what we do. We have cable & use Netflix. Also if you have really good anti vuris (Have to have a good one PLUS pop up blocker) we use Movie25 online. It is a free streaming movie site online. My husband hooked our computer tower up to our living room entertainment center so we use that for Movie 25 when cable or Netflix have nothing we want to watch.

I don't like paying a cable bill, and I don't have much spare time so what actually works for me is the Amazon Prime movies/shows and I also got "Rabbit TV" (the USB plug-in to watch movies/shows on-line for $5 a year, I think I got it for the next 5 years pre-paid because they raised the price and once my pre-pay runs out, I probably won't be renewing that.)  I've also found alot of movies/tv shows those two don't offer by looking for them on YouTube and watched them on there for free.

We have basic cable. I cancelled Netflix because they did not seem to have anything. Maybe I will reconsider.

Cable tv is a ripp off just like anything else we pay for. Cable doesn't have any shows or movies. They charge way too much. You better off with basic cable or a converter box and watch dvds. Amazon prime has movies you can watch as well; just pay the once yearly fee, it sure beats paying 100 a month.

That is the reason I do not have cable. I figured that out a few years ago. I was paying only to watch about three channels. I get a few channels over the air and we have DVDs and rent movies or go to the movies sometimes. It makes no sense to have cable anymore and you can stream everything.

I cut the cable cord last year. It was almost $40 for basic cable, which is like 12 channels. Most of which you can get with a cheap antenna. I do have a Roku box to stream stuff from online and a prime membership, but I havent been impressed with  it. I may try hulu at some point.
