Neither of us has the time to argue or fight. We are always working or engaged in taking care of our kids. The sad part is that neither of us has a large surplus of time with each other. We have been married twenty two years so we are pretty good at not pushing things when we sense that the other is not in the mood to fight. I am either at my day job or locked into my study for the night. I am going to close out after this post though. It has been a long day and the rest of the week looks as though it is going to be a repeat of today. Always kind of works out that way with working three time as hard for the two weeks preceding a three day weekend! My wife has a huge project for the next several days so I know to tread softly.

30some years together. so nope. the kids tell us it sounds rude the way we deal with things we dont agree on,but we just let each other know in one sentence and drop it and move on. no sense in being unhappy with the person you want to be happiest with'

Occasionally my husband and I argue, not necessarily about big things, sometimes it's about really trivial things. Some of the biggest things we argue about are how to discipline the children, but some of the little things include how I maintain the garden. For instance, I will mow the lawn and clip the edges and it will look beautiful when I'm done. I will put the grass out for the trash collectors and put all the tools away. My husband will walk passed the garden to get to his truck and he will complain that there are some weeds in the garden bed. He doesn't see what is done well, he only sees what is imperfect - and let's face it, garden issues are not really top of the stress list are they?

my husband has passed away but we never fought or argued bc he wouldn't and it's difficult to argue with yourself

Who doesn't argue every so often, I know we do but over stupid stuff and it doesn't last long.

No, there's no point in fighting. If we can't talk rationally, then we shouldn't be together. .

It is not worth my time to argue or fight if hubby should try to start something i just look at him and walk out the door. Pretty soon he comes looking for me and tells me he is sorry. I put up with that for years  with the kids father and i will be danged if i put up with it again.  And everyone knows it.
