Yes, I would try it.  I don't drink cola but a clear pepsi, I would give it a try.

I only saw it last week at Target.  What is it, does it taste like regular Pepsi?  I never heard of it before I saw it, I think the price was around $2.00 a bottle

I tried it back in the 90's and did not like it. I do no think I would be willing to try it again.

Crystal Pepsi is exactly the same as regular Pepsi, except that it contains no caramel coloring so it is clear, like 7-Up or Sprite, hence the name for it being as clear as a crystal. When it first came out, I tried it and didn't taste any difference (so for me, I didn't care either way). Yet for some people, they say they do taste a difference. Since the coloring wouldn't change the flavoring that's added, scientifically this wouldn't make sense, except for the placebo affect.... What I mean is that science accepts (and has demonstrated many times) that a placebo affect actually does exist. A patient that is suffering from some illness is given a sugar pill (thus shouldn't have any scientific basis for aiding the patient), and suddenly the patient says they feel better and/or their signs and symptoms decrease as a result of the placebo. Scientists believe that this is due to some psychosomatic trigger in the patient's brain that makes them believe that the placebo will work, and as a result their body changes with this belief. Similarly, I think that those that claim that Crystal Pepsi tastes different is due to a psychosomatic occurrence. People that see a clear, carbonated beverage will automatically believe that it should taste like a 7-Up. So when the taste buds send signals that contradict this pre-conceived belief, the brain tries to somehow make the two competing signals work together. Thus for them Crystal Pepsi won't taste like regular Pepsi because their brain is trying to resolve how the cola taste works in a lemon-lime drink, and may somehow blend the 2 tastes (the real one from the taste buds vs. the expected one) such that Crystal Pepsi, to that individual, tastes neither like cola nor like lemon-lime.

I tried cp when it first came out and I'll give it a try again and see what it tastes like again.

Interesting, I haven't heard of Crystal Pepsi before. If I see it when I'm out and about, I'll be sure to purchase one. The fact that it is clear, and has a comparable test makes it interesting. Does it look like water?

It is probably the exact same as it was before.  I don't remember what it tasted like but I remember I did drink it.
I don't really care for Pepsi so I would not purchase it.  @@Theosarizos it looks like Sprite.

I think cola should look like cola. I don't understand the concept.

What's so wrong with being darker? Is that soda racism or something?

I remeber Crystal Pepsi from when I was a kid. One time when I was sick a relative gave it to me because it was a "clear liquid."  I don't recommend it.
