When others don't understand

I was venting to my best friend and she made a comment about her opinion. What do you do when others don't understand what you are trying to say or how you feel? I don't want to make her feel bad or make any comments but by the comment she made I also know that she doesn't understand how I feel.

I would tell her I appreciate your opinion but that is not how I feel on the topic and each person is entitled to how they feel. So please understand that I am not disagreeing with you but I don't feel the same way.

I guess you know best if your friend is a good listener.

If she is maybe she didnt understand you.A good friend might even help you see things differently and it works out better.

Too many intangibles here to decide who is right or wrong.Cover all the bases and dont make a hasty decision.You know the story about writing a lettter and not mailing it right away!!

She may not understand how you feel but by you bringing the subject up at all, she gave you her opinion, which is to be expected.  Whether you liked it or not is another thing.

Sometimes it can make me mad but you really can't get upset if you are venting to someone and they reply with comments or opinions you do not like.  I am going thru stuff that I have talked about to others and honestly I don't think they really understand how I feel.
