Would you plan a hotel stay for a night if you wanted to getaway for a night?

Absolutely I would but it would have to be an upscale hotel with a lot of amenities.   Overall though, one night wouldn't be enough.    ;D

We do it about every 3 months when i have to go out of town .  Figure we are there so might as well spend the night and do something for ourselves. Mostly i am stuck here because my brother is down in south Texas where he and the boys have a large farm leased. So someone has to be here in case dad gets sick.  He did it for 14 years so i guess  i need to help out so moved back home and run out all the time to take care of things. We have a sister but she lives in Alaska But now that she has convinced dad to sell her the property and also to will it too her if he should die she rarely comes down. When she does come down all she does is run around and take his pickup out of town shopping every day. Does nothing to really help out.

A getaway is a getaway, I would definitely do and have done a night in an hotel as a getaway or change of scene.

I definitely have gone to a hotel just to "getaway"...it's nice and refreshing...even if it's just for one night.

I was part of a panel recently that was located 30 minutes from me.  I could have driven in for both days but I had requested for a hotel because of the major constructions and they agreed so I got a free stay in a lovely hotel and it was perfect.

I use to do that all the time. I use to take my vacation and go and stay in a nice hotel here in michigan and have a great time relaxing. Friends would come by and we would have dinner. I use to stay in one called Residence Inn with the kitchen and dinning room years ago when it was not as expensive.

Definitely if I had the money to do so - In fact I would go to Daytona Beach for a whole weekend if I had the money but I don't have the $$$$$$$$$$$ right now because as it is I need to do a lot of repairs to my house.  Oh well...... no fun for me.

Yes, do it about twice a year.  There's always something to do around the house and I can just relax at a hotel and get recharged. I'm due for one now but I have so much going on I can't get away at this time but it's coming.

Sometimes I think it is fun to get a hotel and get away from everything. In the past I have rented a hotel that has a casino. Nice way to get your mind off of things. Right now I don't have the means to do this unfortunately.
