What Do You Usually Call the Part of Your Body Between Your Chest and Pelvis?

Would you refer to that part of your body as the belly, stomach, or tummy? I typically call it the stomach. Belly sounds okay to me, but I prefer to say stomach. Tummy sounds too childish for me.

I agree with stomach.  Belly and tummy both sound like child-speak to me -- tummy clearly being a child-like abbreviation of the word stomach.  I suppose abdomen is another appropriate name, but that starts to sound more technical/medical and I am not a doctor!

Right now i call it flab and i am working to get rid of it. so far i have lost 7 lbs, slowly as i want to get toned also. Hubby is losing a little at a time also.  Team work.

I call it my stomach. Although right now, it more closely resembles a muffin top!    But I am trying to get rid of it, and plan on reaching my goal hopefully within the next few months. Then I can proudly call it my abs!

I guess it really depends on my "audience". If I'm talking to a child, I'll use the more childish terms of belly or tummy (prob'ly belly as I don't even remember calling it my tummy). If it's with my peers / general public, I'll call it my stomach. And if I'm talking to a doctor / medical staff, then it's my abdomen.
