There are many "green" things I do to help save the planet. I recycle all my cardboard, paper, plastic and I refuse to buy bottled water. I reuse supermarket carrier bags for my trash bins at home and I grow my own herbs and vegetables. I use these low wattage light bulbs throughout my house which are supposed to last for many years longer and I have an artificial Christmas tree.

I recycle all the aluminum, paper, plastic, glass that I can.  I reuse the plastic grocery bags as garbage can liners at home and take extra bags to work to be used for the same reason there.

I use a reusable plastic water bottle to carry my water to work.  We have a reverse osmosis water system so we don't have to buy bottled water.

I reuse gift wrap if I am able to remove it from packages neatly.  I prefer gift bags because they are very easy to reuse.  I even smooth out the tissue paper in gift bags and reuse it.  I reuse bows and ribbons.  My kids all know I do it and will help out to a degree with this recycling habit even though they kind of roll their eyes at me!

For tags, I just write right on the gift.  Or I make my own tag rather than purchase them.

I turn off lights at home and at the group home where I work....some people forget to turn them off a lot...

We only run the dishwasher when it is full.  We have been replacing light bulbs through out the house.
