I don't even want to think about Christmas yet.  I don't start with the few gifts I need to buy until about mid- to late September.  Christmas is no longer as enjoyable as it once was when my children were small and I associate it with winter...which I loathe!  But for all you Christmas junkies, have at it and enjoy!  I used to be too!!

I don't think it is to early, especially if you know that you generally late on getting gifts, I think each person does what works for them. As you mentioned, sometimes you can get good deals on  items  so I say go for it, because if you wait until the last minute then you may not find what you are looking for or the price will be much higher. Iand that  generally do not really start to think about Christmas until October, and for me that is ok.

It's not that hard!! I learned just this year how to do brickstitch for beading. I've been watching videos. I have no patience for crocheting or knitting though! LOL! Sewing is pretty easy once you get the hang of it.

Yeah, I usually plan to do things early in the year, but the last few years, trying to get everything I want to for my friends and family, didn't pan out! I like doing all my homemade gifts closer to Christmas. With the monsoons here, they are usually what determines what I do during the day. If I started in September again this year, noting would get done.
I'm hoping we get enough dry days here soon so I can sew without having to watch for the leaks!

I've already got most of the gifts I wanted to get for a friend of mine who wants to start beading! I had some 60% off coupons for Joann's I used the other day!! It was a great deal!! I just have a few more small things to get her and I have all her's, then I can get for my dad!! His are usually a bit more expensive because he usually wants tools of some sort.

I would also rather spend my time baking and making candy in December! LOL! Oh that reminds me, I also have to plan for shipping some things too!

Good for you!!  My kids taste change so often that if I by something now they will hate it by Christmas.   But trying to rack wup the dollars to help with shopping when I do start.

I am not shopping early, but it is nice to get ideas of what everyone wants to you know. I usually don't start shopping until  Black Friday.
