Starting on Christmas gifts now! LOL!

I buy gifts all through the year when I find good deals on stuff and save my survey money for Christmas

I do, too!  I actually started a "gift box" for my sister's 50th birthday over a year before her b-day, collecting 50 fun (and cheap) gifts.  I found great stuff right after Christmas on DEEP discount.... it was fun.  I had a box in my closet and I'd just add stuff as I found it.  The bummer was wrapping everything!

You sound like my friend she put Christmas music on around this time and starts shopping too.  It is absolutely funny, she calls me tells me guess what I am listening to and starts shopping like crazy she is done with Christmas shopping by not later then end of August, it drives her kids crazy.

I don't put on the music, just try to budget and cover everyone by watching the sales and deals, and coupons, LOL!! My mom and I used to have a goal of having all our shopping done by Halloween so we could just enjoy the family and friends. And of course, all the yummy baking!! LOL! The hardest part for her, was keeping the gifts hidden from me until Christmas! I always wanted to peak! Heck, I once found a gift for me in their closet that they were supposed to have given me the year before! They had forgotten all about it! LOL!

The only thing I don't like doing really, is the wrapping. I usually have to make the boxes to fit stuff in, so I am always looking for some ideas on that!! Plus, since I usually ship out some stuff, I have to plan on shipping costs, how to package all of it and who is getting what. I'm still trying to figure out how to make gluten free goodies for my niece since she has an allergy to wheat now, which means figuring out how to make my cookies with something else! I have to start testing some of that soon to see what will work, because I don't want to wait till the last minute to do that!

And my baking and candy making takes a lot of time. I like using a bulk mix to make my cookies, which I ave several recipes for. I need to start making those to freeze here soon. Since they don't contain any eggs, I can do that with them. I just have to clear out my freezer!

I love it!

I used to do that when all the grand-kids were young. However, they are all teens now, and get money.

However, I should start putting the actual $$ aside, so it does not strap me in December.

Saving now is good too!! Especially so you can have a nice little stash!!
