I have tried it on the ends of my hair. Left it on for a few minutes. Works well.
I started using coconut oil on my dog's skin. He has bad allergies and I  noticed
it made my hands soft too!

I've used it on my feet and elbows in the winter months.  I've also tried putting it in smoothies but it doesn't mix well... I've also used it instead of vegetable oil or butter with pasta.  Although the pasta takes on a strong coconut flavor and I'm the only one in our family that likes it.

Coconut oil makes my particular hair type dry for some strange reason, so I don't put it for my hair. However I do use it as a moisturizer for my body only.

I have heard great things about coconut oil. It can be used for many things. I also like tea tree oil (not for my hair though) and use it for lots of skin related things.

@nmbrown863, how do you use tea tree oil?  Do you just rub a little of it on your skin? Or is it a capsule supplement?

My daughter in law loves it and uses it for everything.  But I'm not convinced totally.  Yes it's good, but sounds like just the newest fad, the newest thing everyone is going to.  And if it works, then great...
I personally love love Argon oil, especially for my hair!! Everyone should try it.

I have used it for my skin and this past winter it was great at keep "winter itch" from starting.  My hair doesn't need more than a normal conditioner every other day but I have used coconut oil on my horse who has very dry hair (his tail) that is fragile and easy to break and the oil has been really helpful!

I eat a teaspoon on my bread in the morning, and often use it to cook with instead of vegetable oil.
