Splash Pages - What exactly is a "splash Page? Splash pages are usually graphic-intensive pages that appear before the main home page. Some feature standard graphic format such as GIF and JPEG; others feature formats such as Macromedia Flash that require a special plug-in (which a visitor must download if he or she does not already have one). Some splash pages automatically refresh to the home page upon completion; others require the visitors to click on an entrance button or text link.

So what would you do if you have a website or blog and you wanted to get visitors attention. A splash page is a great idea. There great for building email lists, lead generation and can capture the visitor into an opt-in or opt-out way on your website or blog.

Do you have a splash page on your website or blog? What tools do you use to create a splash page? Do you prefer free or a cheap way to make one?

I have never heard of a SPLASH page.... I have no idea what it is, and have never seen it on Fusion Cash.

No splash page for this girl.  Maybe someday.  I'm venturing into my own business stuff.  And I do some affiliate free web site construction but haven't put much time into it over the course of the last year.   This gives me an extra thing to look into to learn about.  Thanks.

I think this should be on the suggestion page for Fusion Cash. As we all know the rules you are not supposed to post other links on here. But I for one have not heard of "splash Page" but it will be a good suggestion for those who make executive decisions as to what is accepted and what is not for us all. Thanks!

I don't have a Splash page for my website, but I have made splash pages for various sites in the past, when I used to do those traffic sites where you click webpages for points, then you can put your own pages in as well. But I don't do those any more, in fact, I pretty much got out of network marketing and affiliate sites, because I have other ways of making more money.

I've always had mixed feelings with splash pages... While some are done very well and present something that adds to my experience at the site (either made it entertaining or informative), others seem to just be a waste of time since I have to sit thru watching something stupid instead of being able to do what I actually wanted to do at the site. Good ones should at least have some way to opt out of watching the full "splash" (eg have a "skip" button) or shouldn't take that much time before moving onto the home page. If FC were to have a splash page, I'd also make it a setting whether to continue to show the splash page to FC members; although the splash page may be nice for visitors debating whether they want to join, for the actual members I think that a splash page would be less helpful.
